Evigt (Swedish for ”eternal”) is that ever more rare thing — a truly immersive album which unfalteringly yields new treasure with every listen. We have called Albert Borkent, known for his releases on Databloem, Psychonavigation and many other notable labels, an ambient wizard, and this release is an exquisite showcase of his unique talent. From the lush, dub-tinged techno of ”Exist” to the emotionally charged, highly nuanced soundscapes of ”Symphony” and ”Eclipse”, this release will both satisfy long-term fans and provide an excellent point of entry for listeners new to the oeuvre of this fascinating Dutch sound designer.
